Garmin Coach Training Plan

I utilized Garmin Coach with a training plan for running a 5K. I thought I had tapped my Week 11 5K race day, but I evidently just started my Vivofit Active 3 device for a 5K run. While I captured my run, it did not "complete" my training plan. Is there a way to have my run recognized by my training plan?

  • Same problem here, hope someone will answer

  • When you start an activity, the watch shows whether you start a workout or just a simple plain-vanilla activity. If you see the scheduled workout was not offered, then it either means that you missed the schedule, failed to schedule it, or that the upload of the workout or the schedule failed.

In such case you can long-press the menu button (while being in the run activity) go to Training » Workouts a check whether the concerned workout is on the watch. If it is there start it and run. If it is not there, you'll have to go to Garmin Connect, reschedule, and upload the workout+schedule to the device.

You cannot assign a past activity to the training plan retrospectively. Respectively, you possibly could do it with some hacking of the FIT file of the activity, but it would not be anything trivial. You will have to do the missed workout again, selecting it in the menu manually as described above.
