Garmin Coach not giving me long runs

Hello everyone,

So I'm on Week 4 of 17 and for the 2nd straight week I didn't get a Long Run scheduled (Coach Greg).  I have set it for Saturdays with every day of the week available and 5 workouts a week.  I work rotating shifts so I move the workouts around anyway, but in any case I've gotten no Long Runs in 2 weeks.  Tried pausing/resuming the program, tried changing the Long Run to every other day of the week, nothing works.

I accidentally pressed the lap button ~10 mins into my last Long Run and it screwed up the workout.  I actually did a long run by resuming the workout after it had ended, but the Coach didn't like it and it may have screwed up everything.  Even though I ran for the prescribed 80 mins and it's all there in the workout stats, the "coach" still thinks I bailed out 10 mins in and gave me "Room to Grow".

At this point I'm thinking of giving up and building my own plan.  Anyone have a similar experience?

  • I had the same thing happen with Coach Greg, all of the sudden I stopped getting long runs for 3 weeks in a row.  Two times in a week I hit "run" instead of "treadmill" so my watch thought I ran 1 mile when I really ran 5 miles.  That was two weeks ago and ever since I haven't had long runs or progressive runs so I wondering if the plan adjusted based on that poor result.  I did edit the mileage after the run but that didn't fix the pace that was recorded so I think it's screwed up now.  I also tried to pause and restart but it didn't help.
