My phone stops sending notifications to the watch

My phone stops sending text notifications to the watch. It won't send any notification except for the call notification. Other than that it stops sending suddenly and when I go to the smart notifications on the phone app the apps are allowed and it shows a message that permissions are needed and when I press on it to grant permissions it still don't work unless I remove the app and install it back again?

What shall I do.??.

  • My phone is Huawei mate 10 lite

Same problem with my fenix 6 and Huawei mate 20 pro.

I managed to get the notification back, but they stopped again twice.

  • +1. Is it a software issue with the latest Garmin Connect update?

The watch was showing disconnected for me (Forerunning 945 to Google Pixel 3) and I cannot get it reconnected. I have tried, without success, all the other obvious things:

    - power cycling the watch

    - power cycling the phone

    - removing and re-adding the watch

I cannot reconnect the watch. The phone seems to "see" the watch and offer me to setup. When I connect, I get "Pairing failed".

This has nothing to do with our problem, we are not disconnected, we can sync and communicate from phone to watch, we just don't get the notification when they suddenly stop

  • Yes, I got the same behaviour. Sometimes, not constantly Thinking

But only since the latest Connect Mobile update on Android. I guess, they messed up something there.
