Garmin Edge 810 won't sync to Connect app on phone but will sync when plugged into PC.

My Edge 810 seems to connect to my phone ok (shows the green dot on the app) bit won't sync ride data. If I plug the device into the PC it then syncs without a problem. Any ideas? Garmin Connect app is up to date. Phone is Google Pixel 2. Didn't use to have a problem with it!

  • I'm having this same problem with my Edge 810, and new Pixel 6.  Prior phones (Pixel and Pixel 4) were able to sync the Edge 810.  Connects but doesn't sync.  New version of Connect app: 4.53.

    When I select an activity on the Edge 810 and click Upload, it seems like upload is happening on both devices.  However, the process completes with the error on the Edge: Upload Failed.

  • In the original post it worked by syncing with PC (Garmin Express). Have you tried that?

    If it doesn't work then fetch the file and do an import into Garmin Connect and see if you get an error message.
