New Marvel badges parity please for existing Garmin users.

New badges for Marvel watches are all repeatable and easy , this ruins the acheivement factor for those already collecting badges and striving for the harder ones,  can we have parity for those already owning a non marvel Garmin device. Same challenges for non marvel devices or remove repeatability factor I'm not going to buy a new watch for a badge but excluded if I don't ? Already have edge1000 and va3 don't need a new device atm.

Big fan of new badges a great incentive to push on for me and would like more without the new device barrier.

You could probably cook up a spare USB flash drive with a GARMIN folder and a GarminDevice.xml from an actual Marvel watch, then add that to your account and earn some of the badges.

  • I agree - so many badges are Marvel watch related.  What about when you own the more expensive watches.  What if we add a Marvel watch face - we should be able to get those badges then.

  • I'm guessing the garmin people aren't reading the forums. I agree with others. Seems a bit off to be able to earn so many point with other watches for doing easy tasks. Kinda makes a mockery of the whole level and badges system.

  • I agree. The badge system is becoming meaningless because of all these repeatable badget for specific watches only. Please reconsider Garmin

  • We understand its a marketing plan, but still irritating when one already owns a more expensive watch which has no repeatable  badges like the Marvel and Star Wars watches do

Garmin it is time to revise the badges!!!.
You have serious athletes using your devices, and makes no sense all the badges for the Marvel watches. I am an ultrarunner (also cycling) and there are no new badges. Also I am already at level 5 and you have not keep upgrading to new levels.
If you started this program you should keep it UPDATED!!!

  • I couldn't agree more! I'm constantly checking for new badges and all these marvel ones are in the way. The only way I can earn new badges now is to win challenges or reach my step goal 60 days in a row.

Why has Garmin not updated their badge list yet? I also run, bike and hike, I don't dive, and refuse to invest in the marvel watches, so now my options are very limited in badge availability

I could not agree more.  You can have "special" badges for marvel and star war watches, but other watches should have equivalent ones otherwise the competition is rigged and pointless. What is the point to compete with friends if some of them can easilly get badges while other cannot?

  • I don't really mind that there are unique marvel or star wars badges, what really annoys me about them is that some of them are ridiculously easy to achieve *and* repeatable. A

if going to the gym 3 times a week is an achievement in it self, let alone worth 4 points, let alone be infinitely repeatable :-O

I'd have a kazillion points by now if I owned a Captain America watch or something instead of a forerunner 945.
