Why doesn't Physio Trueup combine training status of devices?!?

Got a new Fenix 6x pro and set it for Physio Trueup just like my Fenix 5x plus.  Most stats are shown for both except training status.  Was working my tush off but noticed training status had me at low.  Then I noticed it was set to my Fenix 5x plus which I'm only using for occasional workouts where there isn't the software available yet (like rowing with ErgIQ.).  Switching to Fenix 6x pro shows a higher number.  Neither, of course, is correct alone.

Why isn't training effect a combined global thing?

  • I want to know the same thing.   If I ride using my edge 1030 and run using my fenix 5 how do I know if i’m over training

  • Training effect and status are combined between the devices, but you must make sure you sync the device before each time you use it so it got the same data to work with as the other devices. Watches are usually always synced. Edge devices are usually only turned on right before a ride so it is important to make sure it gets possibility and enough time to download all data from Garmin Connect before you press start.

I usually look at the 7 day training load value in my Edge and make sure it is the exact same value as in my watch before I press start.

If you are overtraining or not is probably not something the training effect and status will tell. Instead the resting heart rate, stress and sleep are far better indicators of that. Overtraining is lack of recovery.

Most people got a very low risk of overtraining. Many people think that you can't exercise every day and that you must have rest days to avoid overtraining, but that is incorrect. Just listen to your body. Are you feeling tired and don't want to exercise today? Then don't. Do something else or some really low intensity exercise like walking.
