How to connect forunner 245 in Japan?

I have a forunner 245m acquired in Hongkong. The Garmin connect app I download in Japan (where I live) on my phone only lists "foreathlete 245m" and not "forunner 245m" in the list of devices and can't pair with my watch. How can I connect my forunner 245m to the Garmin app downloaded in Japan?

I have the opposite problem. I just bought a ForeAthlete 245 in Tokyo and will be using it in Singapore. But my Garmin Connect does not have any Foreathlete listed while trying to pair with my phone. It works fine when connected by USB to Garmin Connect.

I was finally able to connect my watch.

The procedure I followed:

- I changed my Google country to a country where I own a credit card and where the forerunner 245 music exists, in my case France, using a VPN pretending I was connecting from France

- waited 3 days for the change to be effective,

- connected to Google app store using a VPN pretending I'm connecting from France,

- downloaded the Garmin app

- paired my device

Got same problem, I tried to choose a different live area from the garmin connect app before you login in there is a advantage setting, you could choose like the other country which has the forerunner model name

try to logout from app then choose an area which support that model name, just like japan
