Missing training status

The training status is showing as no status even though I'm doing an activity daily and it's showing my training load correctly. This has been the case for the past week .

  • Sadly mine has not got the ‘Unknown’ or triangle icon. For some inexplicable reason it stopped working on 25/11/20? Also the load data doesn’t appear on daily home page either. Iam assuming this is a Fenix watch issue from other comments. I have a Fenix 5 X. This doesn’t give you much confidence in purchasing another Fenix product if you have to factory reset and loose all your historic stats. GARMIN YOU NEED TO ADDRESS THIS PLEASE

  • I can confirm that it is not just a problem with the Fenix watch. I have a Forerunner 245 and experience the same behavior. My workouts have been synchronized to the Connect app and my account and also the training effect  is synchronized/displayed correct. But... since about a week my VO2 max and training status are not updated anymore.

I have tried the "Hello, IT" approach by turning it off and on again. Not the desired result.
I have tried a hard reset, by holding the light button 15 seconds. Not the desired result.
I have tried the steps from this thread but mine has not got the ‘Unknown’ or triangle icon.

So I am still searching for a solution.

    [EDIT: 2021-07-26]

Garmin Support informed me that for a training status to appear on my watch (or phone) I should have at least 2 activities a week that contain a minimum of 10 consecutive minutes where my heart rate is at or over 70% of my maximum heart rate.
After checking my activities of the past week I noticed that I did not meet this requirement.
Last weekend I went out for a training and made sure to hit this limit and now my training status is back.

TLDR: A classical case of not reading the manual well enough (RTFM)
