Does anyone else experience this?
I start LiveTrack. It seems to start just fine. It waits for me to begin an activity. I begin my activity and, again, LiveTrack seems to be just fine. But during my run/ride, I notice that I'm not getting the audio prompts that I usually get. That, I have learned, is a clear indicator that my LiveTrack is also not working, despite all indicators to the contrary. Sure enough, after my activity, I discover that the LiveTrack did not record the route I took, it just says something like "unable to obtain signal." This is a pattern that repeats about 1 in every 15 to 20 activities.
It seems as if there is sometimes something "wonky" with the connection between my watch (FR 245) and the Connect app on my Android smartphone. This "wonky" connection causes problems with both audio prompts and LiveTrack.
The most disappointing part of this is that LiveTrack does not give me any indication that there's a problem at the start of my activity. And I get no indication that my audio prompts will not be working until I notice them missing. It'd be nice to get an indication upfront, before I start my activity, so I could try rebooting my smartphone and watch to try and eliminate the "wonkiness" before starting my workout.
Does anyone get this? Has anyone discovered how to detect this "wonky" condition BEFORE starting an activity?
