Hi noticed strange workout that Garmin Coach Greg 5km proposed on week 10 out of 11.
My target race time for 5 km is 22 min (which is about 4:24 min/km pace).
App scheduled Long Easy Run workout like this:
1. Warm Up 10 min. Walk or jog.
2. Run 40 min. 4:33-4:42 min/km. Easy pace.
3. Run 10 min. 4:33-4:42 min/km. Medium to hard pace.
4. Cool Down. 10 min. Walk or jog.
This is concerning because in this workout Easy pace == Medium to hard pace. My easy pace in Garmin Coach is 5:20. 4:33-4:42 is closer to tempo run because my lactate threshold is 4:41 but even though tempo runs should last about 30-40 mins and not 50? I reckon there's a bug in algorithm somewhere? Should stage 2 be with usual 5:20 easy pace?
