Change Auto Lap function from miles to kms

How do you change the Auto Lap distances from miles to kilometres on a Vivosport? Everytime I run it's giving me data for split times in miles (every 1.61kms) but I want it to auto lap at 1km so I have accurate split times?

I just worked it out on my Vivoactive if anyone is still having this problem. Press the activity button and select Run, then swipe up and click settings. Then click on Auto Lap and change it from 1.61…

Same issue with Forerunner 35, newest software, language-setting German, settings on the watch in km, settings in GC as well as in my profile in km, but auto-laps in miles. If I follow this and other threads to solve the issue, it is fixed and the setting is back to miles after the next sync.

I work in software testing - this is absolutely user unfriendly, especially as this issue seems to exist since several years.

How should I change the 1.6km to 1.0km. I dont see an option to edit the distance. Help required!

The easiest option I found for this was to go onto Garmin Connect but the online version...

Go to your settings and change to Metric

Once you have synced your device it will change auto lap by Kilometres rather than Miles

I tried to do it on the App and it wouldn't sync for some reason.

This is true. Seems to work best for global settings to be changed on the web, then the settings should cascade to the app and your device.
