I understand that the Vivoactive 3 has issues with the altimeter. Today I was given a stern talking to by Garmin connect because I am averaging 10 up floors per day this week and 20 down per day. I should be walking up as many floors as down. That's a nice touch for the software to give it to me when the watch has a crappy altimeter.
The irony is that I had finally given up on even bothering to pay attention to floors because this watch does such a lousy job at it. I walk up a 90 foot hill every morning to get from my parking lot to my office, and I consistently get 3 floors. I swing my arms (sometimes exaggerating it foolishly) and still I get 3 floors for a 90 foot climb.
If the hardware is that bad at doing it, then have the software forget about it, not cause me to have to look at a stupid "insight" for the rest of the day.
