MY new FENIX 5 Plus does not show up in CONNECT IQ on my android phone. The watch is connected to Garmin Connect and synchs well.
What can I do? I'm not able to download apps like Spotify. In this way the watch does not make seens fpr me.

I was having this issue when I purchased the watch. What solved it for me was to first download the Garmin Express program on my computer, connect the watch to the computer and update the watch (took a few hours). After that all is working fine and I can connect to IQ and have downloaded Spotify and other apps.
Tried this solution but it didn't work for me. My watch didn't update over USB because it already has the latest app version - 19.10 (57650b0)
Is there another solution?
I'm having the same issue on my Fenix 5S Plus, I can see that it's been an issue for over a year now and no obvious solution. Very frustrating, might go back to Apple watch
Had the same issue on my Fenix 5 plus. What worked for me:
1. Connected the watch to wifi via Connect app.
2. On the watch, left middle button long press. Then settings > system > update.
3. After update finished, close both IQ and Connect apps.
4. On Android apps settings, make sure both apps have all permissions allowed.
5. Open Connect. After watch is found and synced, go to "connect IQ Store". This will open IQ and the watch should be identified and connected now.
Garmin, let me just say that the fact that so many people had this issue and no one from the support team responded here shows both poor software quality and poor costumer support.
