Android Go phones and Garmin Connect

Is there a possibility to get on Android Go phones notifications? Through the playstore it says the app is not compatible with your phone. I installed it through an alternative app store, the synchronisation works fine now, but it's not possible to receive any notifications from the phone. I mean, yes, Android Go devices are of course not powerful devices, but at least they meet the minimum requirements of Garmin connect.

Same reason Google's Wear OS isn't supported: https://wearos.google.com/wearcheck/

I seem to have the same problem. Apparently I have Android go. Is there a solution?

Thanks so much for the info. This worked for me, but I also had install APK mirror app on my phone to be able to download/install the APK file. I use a rugged smart flip phone CAT s22 running AndroidGo 11.

On my CAT s22 through google playstore, I installed APK mirror (as someone suggested). Then I had to go through the APK mirror app to download/install Connect, then rebooted phone and opened the connect app. I've also used the connect login page with my phone connected my PC to download stats to the website. I was able to install the garmin IQ app that allowed me to install different features.
