Smart Notifications

I mentioned this on the old forum as well. Currently, any new application that I install has its Smart Notification defaulted to "On". It should be "Off" and we should be allowed to toggle that. Quite annoying to get a buzz on my watch and see that I forgot to turn that notification off.

Also, a couple of updates ago, ALL my Smart Notifications turned back on.

This should be a simple fix.

Just updated my app. Watch synced, not I get every stupid notification from my phone. Even if it's silenced on my phone and just pops up on screen, my watch now vibrates. There is no longer smart notifications so I don't know how to turn these off. I want some of the notifications, just not ALL of them. How do we get the smart notifications back and why on Earth did Garmin choose to change this..... Kinda upset here.

Nothing changed with the last update. Perhaps some settings got modified by mistake in the app. In Garmin Connect check out and adjust as needed the Menu » Settings » Notifications » App Notifications and also Push Notifications

Thanks! That's what I was looking for! It just moved from where it once was. Is there a similar setting like this in Apple? It appears on apple it's just push and email but nowhere to select individual apps for notifications

Sorry, not an iPhone user. Try asking on the forum Garmin Connect Mobile iOS - they will know better.

BTW, practically the same menus are (on Android) accessible also through Android system settings (Android » apps » Connect » Notification, and also Android » Notifications). It could be similar on iPhones.
