Vivofit 4 continually resetting itself

  • I am fed up of my vivofit resetting itself and continually losing data. I spoke to your company a couple of months ago and have followed the recommended remove batteries for 10 minutes which seems to fix the issue for a few days. I cannot build a consistent record as it continues to lose data so am going to give the thing up.
  • Do you use an ANT+ stick or solely Bluetooth to the Garmin Connect mobile app?

    What mobile OS are you on? Uninstall and reinstall the Connect Mobile app, restart phone, ensure you have the absolute latest firmware on the Vivofit 4. (that last one was the cause of all sorts of headaches on a family member's VF4) You can log into Connect on the web and see if the VF4 has any pending firmware updates.

    FWIW, I found the ANT+ stick highly problematic - it seems like a legacy connection method prior to smartphones being common and it "trampled" on the Connect mobile app connection. Great little dongle for Zwift and such but avoid it for the Vivofit line.
