Can't see Or access training plans in garmin app.

When selecting "training" from the menu in the garmin connect app I cannot see the "training plan " button to get or download various running training plans.

I can see these on my partners garmin connect app. So why am I missing them on mine and how can I get them?

  • Same thing here. On the app, I can only see ''Garmin Coach Plans''. The only way to get or download the various ''Standard Plans'' is to use the web browser version of Garmin Connect

  • I do have Training Plans in the menu under Training, but perhaps it si so only becaue I already previously selected a training plan through Garmin Connect Web (I do not remember whether the option was the before doing so). Did you already try selecting a training on GC Web?

  • Yes I did selected a training plan on Garmin connect Web. Here are screenshots on GC web and GC app. You can see that there are only 3 coach plans in the app.

  • In contrary, I do not have any Garmin Coach plans with photos listed at all. Just the active plan. Did you already choose and start a plan? Perhaps the change happens at that moment.

  • It's the same thing if I have an active plan or not. My wife has the same screen as me. I tried to update my app, but I still get the same screen. Is your app updated?

  • Same issue on my android phone app. Plan created on Garmin Connect Web.

    No I never found a satisfactory resolution. Garmin looked into it for.a while,  and firstly said that I should be able to view it, then said it was available only as a downloadable option but I could never get it to work or download in the app version, just in the website. I think they closed the case at that point. It's really frustrating as I don't understand why it appears in the app with some garmin devices and not others. The only determinant I can think of is age of device.and there was an app software update somewhere along the line.

    • i have it the same - its a feature not bug, you can have only one active training plan therefor you cannot choose new one, if you quit this plan you should be able to chose new one
