Having Connect installing is rebooting or shutting down my phone

I have had an Samsung Note 9 for >months now, with Garmin Connect installed, letting itself auto update at free will. In the last 2 weeks, my phone started to reboot and shut down at odd occassions (sometimes 2 or 3 hours, sometimes 5-10 mins....so thought "I must have installed a recent app that is causing this". Went through and uninstaled a few apps....but alas, phone kept rebooting or shutting down. So, ended up doing a factory reset. Well, having done that, and good ol' Googe restored most of my apps over a 4-5 hour period....but then within a few mins of me pairing my Edge 1030....the phone rebooted. Suspicious....I uninstalled Connect. The phone has has been OK for a week - no shutdowns or reboots. I then installed Connect, as I was riding this weekend.....it paired, no problems, I rode for 2 hours, no problems....and then about 30 mins after I had completed the ride....phone reboots.
This is definitely a Connect spawned thing - anyone else seen this ? Running Android Pie on the Note 9
