My wife and me are both using a Forerunner 230 as well as a Samsung A5 (2017) mobile phone.
I'm able to use the music control commands (play/pause; next/previous; vol. up/down) on my Forerunner to be transmitted via Bluetooth to the Samsung phone.
When we try the same commands using my wifes Forerunner and her phone (e.g. Spotify, locally stored music files), the phone does not correspond correctly. Instead of reacting on the specific command coming from the Forerunner, the phone always opens a new window of the app Google Chrome, no matter what music control command was given.
We've tried all combinations between both similar watches and both similar phones and came to the conclusion, that the error must be within the phone of my wife.
All typical measures such as re-start the phone, re-connect Forerunner & phone, Bluetooth reset etc. did not lead to any solution.
The firmware and software on all four devices is up to date.
A complete reset of my wife's phone has not been tried yet, would consider that as some sort of last resort.
Did -by chance- anyone else experience this issue and was able to resolve it?
Any hint would be very much appreciated.
