Connect mobile 4.15.1 stopped sync

Been using a Vivofit 4 (and before a Vivofit 2) for a while. Latest update for the Connect mobile app stopped syncing. Removed device, reinstalled app, cleared data, called Garmin, but nothing works. I can get it initially connected to the Connect Mobile app and syncs once during setup, but then will not sync again no matter what I try. I did manage to get the Vivofit 4 to sync via ANT+ with my computer so can get data for now, but this is annoying.

If anyone has any ideas, please post. Otherwise I will wait for Garmin to fix their app. Seems based on feedback in google play that I'm not alone with this problem.
