The Garmin Connect Android app refuses to allow a weight to be added manually for a previous date without also setting a goal. I regularly weigh myself with a standard, non-smart scale and input my weight manually into the app. But sometimes I forget to enter it immediately. This bug prevents me from retroactively entering my weight for any previous day. I don't need or want to set a weight goal. Adding a date for today (the current date) works without a goal. This seems like a bug because in some past version of the app it never required a weight goal no matter what date you were inputting a measurement for. Not sure exactly when that changed though. I'm on a Nexus 5x, Android 8.1.0, Garmin Connect 4.15.1. Does anyone else experience this and can it be fixed? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1458609.png
It works for me, setting the weight for previous days is not an issue. However I have set a weight goal in my account, something which I would recommend to you too. With a weight goal present, probably this issue would disappear for you, maybe you should give it a try that way.
Thanks for the response HUMODDA. I gave in and set a goal, and retroactively entering a weight works. It's ok as far as workarounds are concerned. For my situation, having the goal overlay on the charts is annoying and clutters the experience. I'm not aiming for a specific weight but am still interested in having that data. Having an unwanted goal is not a big deal but I still contend that this is a bug that should be fixed.
