Notifications from Samsung phone not working.

Bought the father in law a Vivosport. Cant seem to get notifications from his phone onto his watch.

He has a Samsung phone. When in on the Smart Notifications tab on settings when he goes to set things to go to his phone he gets the error message "Settings has stopped open app again"

This leads me to think its some kind of Android problem but being an Apple person I have no clue what to do now.

His daughter has the same watch but phone notifications work fine on her iPhone

    I've the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and cannot get notifications working. As a matter of interest has he the same one?

    I've just found ANOTHER setting for Notifications in the Connect App. Open Connect App, click on the pic of the watch ie Devices, Cliick on watch pic again in the Devices List and then go to Display OPtions. Where it says Visible Widgets, make sure Notifications are switched on here. (Scroll down for Weather etc.) Hope this worked it worked for me.
