GCM Fail to Pair 935 with Sony XZ2

I just moved to a new Android Phone (Sony XZ2).
I installed latest GCM from Google Play store, but I cannot pair my device to the new phone.

What I can do to fix it? Is there any official channel to report bug like this?

Below are details on my problem:

GCM can discover my 935, but when I tap the "Connect It" button, nothing happens.
I try to do the same pairing process with my old phone, it will successfully pop up the dialog prompting me for the 6 digit pin. At the end I can pair my 935 again with the old phone.

I think the pairing process is straight forward to me, as I can do it with my old phone, but for unknown reason, the the process doesn't work on my XZ2.

PS: I tried to reinstall GCM a few times already, also try to reset my 935. thing still stay the same.
  • I got a fix from Garmin support.

They suggested me to enable notification for GCM.
On my phone, notifications for GCM is already enabled.
After I disable and re-enable, I can immediately pair the watch.

Note: I'm referring to the Android level per app notifications permissions
