Samsung S9+ with android pie - Caller ID not working

My Galaxy S9+ updates Andoid 9.0 ever since does not work Caller ID display. Only "UNKNOW CALLER" displayed. Everything else work correctly.
  • Same thing in my case (fenix 5 with official pie upgrade on Galaxy S9+): caller number unknown wirh granted all permissions. Also if I want to accept or reject call it doesn't work. I tried to reinstall Garmin Connect several times, reset settings but nothing.

Yesterday i called the German Support. No solution.
i think all of us should Call the Support, so they Know there is a problem with S9 and pie.
  • But did they at least open a case for you or add you to an existing case?

He told me to wait for the next Garmin connect Update. "After a new Android Version, problems are possible." But the German support don't know problems with pie and S9. But they note my problem.

If you have the Same Problem, please also contact the Support!

Hello. I have a oneplus 5 and after Android pie update I have the same issue. No caller ID. Forerunner 235.
And in New Android when I received a message I can't read the sender on the watch because of the text "new message" too.
  • As has been suggested earlier in this thread, best to call Garmin support.

The Garmin Support wrote me this:
(but IT didnt fix my Problem. Please contact Garmin, so they know there are problems with android pie.)

Unfortunately we are not in control of when Samsung release updates. This isn't a known issue on our end currently. Please could you attempt the following troubleshooting steps, and see if the issue persists:

    1. Open the Garmin Connect Mobile application
    2. Go to the more (ios) section or the side menu bar on the left (Android) on the app
    3. Go down to 'Garmin devices' and select this
    4. Click on your device and the 3 dots on the corner then select 'Remove device' and 'yes'
    5. Come out of the Garmin connect App and remove it from the phone /tablet
    6. Go into the settings of the phone/tablet and select 'Bluetooth'
    7. Under Bluetooth it will state 'My devices' and 'Devices available'. Under 'My devices' please remove and 'forget' anything listed under this section.
    8. Next turn the Bluetooth off and then uninstall the app.
    9. Turn the mobile phone/tablet off and then on again go back to settings and turn the Bluetooth back on.
    10. Re install the app from the play store or app store.
    11. Follow the initial pair process on the Garmin connect app

    Kind regards,

Do you found any solutions? On your display is unkown caller shown? My display (where usually the contact name should be shown) is empty. No number, No Name, No "unkowm..".
    ??????Are this different Problems?
