Garmin Pay works almost nowhere outside the US. Almost no banks support it. It's a joke.
Year, why not simply adding google pay? This request has been done already 2 years ago, however garmin was meanwhile still not able to either get more common banks isupported nore adding generally command…
Actually, in Europe I use Garmin Pay with the Revolut card. It is prepaid, but that is great safety. And the touch and pay wireless POS devices don’t need to specifically support Garmin pay. As long as…
My own bank doesn't support Garmin Pay, but I checked other banks that do support it and we found one with a free account that supports 2 watches coupled to 1 physical card. I don't have to pay for it, but me and my wife both can use Garmin Pay on our watches. Maybe that is also an option for you?
I just don't understand why Garmin is trying to re-invent the wheel. It is like VHS and BETA in the old days of video recording or 4 track vs 8 track for audio recording... You will never win here, just accept defeat and move on guys. Just use the industry standard, Apple pay for IOS and Google pay for Android! There is not ONE Canadian bank where I can get a card that works, BRIM will not issue me a card and ATB, I have to live in Alberta to get one. Get with the times guys or get left behind! Notice BETA Video tapes are not sold anywhere and 8 Track has also gone the way of the DoDo bird.
There are exactly 3 banks in Canada that support Garmin Pay. ATB (you have to be a resident of Alberta of which I am not) Brim Bank (never heard of it and they want an annual salary of 60k which I am just short of and expect me to pay a 250.00 annual fee for the "privilege" of having a card). The last one I don't recall but again, you have to be a resident of the province to get one. So... NO, it is not that simple dude.
What does your bank says when you ask about Garmin Pay? Why does it not support it?
I think it is the banks that need to support Garmin Pay, not much that Garmin has to do.
A solution for Garmin could be to use a service like Fidesmo, but I guess it comes with a cost. Letting the banks support it is probably free for Garmin.
Oh, it is not true that 'there us nothing gaming can do'. Is is not the banks how wants to have apple pay or Google pay in there service, at least not in the beginning.
The intention simply came from Google and Apple, who had that interest. In the same way I expect a much more Intention from garmin to roll out there supported systen globally. Unfortunately it looks like there are play the game on a global scale like they are suppose to be.
