Forerunner 35 lost connection to garmin Connect

Hi,
since the last update of Garmin Connect App there's no bluetooth connection between my Forerunner 35 and my phone (Motorola G5 Plus).

I've manually wiped the cache of Garmin Connect App, and of bluetooth app in Aplication Manager. I've tried to scan and find the watch via regular Bluetooth protocols - no luck.
Also done the factory (hard) reset on forerunner .Finally, I removed the watch from the app (because it's been invisible in the garmin connect for more than 3 days) and tried to scan and add the new watch - without success.

When I scan for the device on Garmin Connect - I get the following message : "Device not found", and the watch gets stucked on "initializing" message over and over again.
The phone is running Android Oreo 8.1, forerunner is on the latest sotware update, too.

Is anyone having any idea what is wrong and how could I solve this ?
Thanks
  • Are you able to "forget" the FR 35 in the Bluetooth menu on the phone, and then pair it to the phone again? I had to re-pair my FR a few days ago (also got the "device not found") and had to do it that way (on phone Bluetooth settings: forget device, put watch in pairing mode, scan for new Bluetooth devices in phone's menu, pair it, then start Garmin Connect, and add the FR from the app).
    Hope it helps!

Thanks for quick response guys !
Anywayz, the watch is invisible and undetectable in bluetooth scan on two different phones.

I connected the watch to PC Garmin Express app, then the watch (while still plugged in the usb port) got into some update. After that, it's again visible by the phone, got into pairing (over Garmin connect app) and right now i'm in the pairing mode ,setting up the device screen and receiving the message "Connecting to device failed". I returned to previous screen, started the pairing process again, aaaaand voila ! Everything is the way it should be.

Something very strange is going on, I'm assuming it's the software bug
