How do I mark shoes as not to use?

I can add shoes (gear) and delete but I don't see how I mark them as "old and not for use".
There is a badge with garmin that you get once you mark the shoes as such but I don't see the option.

In the "Gear" section, select the shoes, click "Edit", and at the bottom you have "Retire".

I don't have this.
I have only "cancel" and "remove"

After you select the gear you are retiring, scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
