"Activate your Location" Weather needs your location to work

The Connect App give now and then (randomly) a message that i've to Activate my Location on my Phone so the "Weather" widget/app can work properly.
I've not installed this weather app and i don't want to activate my location on my Phone.

? how do i stop this message , and stop getting it again ?

I allready contacted Garmin NL , but they don't respond (and this is not the first time they don't respond on support questions :( )

Why does an app need location servcices when the device which it should assist has GPS/Glosnass/Galileo etc. available.

After the recent update it still disturbs. Connet App (Android) still want to know the weather info … and i don't use any weather info or app!!!

How do I disable this message?

Do Garmin developers look at this pages?

The weather widget does not get it´s data from the watch itself. Connect provide it to the watch. That´s why GPS or Glonass activated on the watch does not help.
Even if you do not use the weather widget, once in a while you need to refresh your FastGps-data. This helps to find satellites faster and more reliable. You location is also required to know for which area this data must be downloaded.
AFAIK in some countries BT LE (Low energy) uses some frequencies, which would interfere with others. That´s why many applications with bluetooth request for GPS.

But I understood, that the application should not annoy you all the time, if you dont want to use all of that.

I understand your info given.

Maybe i'm a bit disappointed with Garmin at the moment...
- LiveTrack does start automatically since the last update => my wife is not happy (because of illness and response time)
- Location has to be active warnings every day => sometimes the warning comes when i'm at sleep!

and they go on developing new thing instead of reparing bugs...

I'm not happy to set my location active for all app's !

I've got the idea ... they only try to develop new things from dreaming persons...

they

don't care about current users and there problems (I know programming can be tough...but be backwards compatible!) Don't change things which were working wel ...(ex. Default MusicPlayer)

I'm happy with my VivoActive HR, I'm happy with my Car Navigation ... but before I buy a new watch .. or update Garmin Connect for Android .. I don't know ...
