Can we have the watch respect DND (Do Not Disturb) when it's set on an Android phone?

I have a Pixel 3 with a Pixel stand that automatically puts the phone on DND mode, but the watch still vibrates on notifications even though I don't even see them on the phone itself. If the watch would respect DND, it would all work automatically as I wouldn't have to guess my sleep and wake up times.
Side request: if we can't have that, at least let us set different sleep times for the weekend. I work from 6 AM to 2 PM, so you can imagine the my sleep schedule is wildly different on the weekends.
  • You can set up DND on the watch independently on the phone

  • I believe that, as notifications come from the phone, it should follow what is set on that device. A good example is how Fitbit respects the phone DnD mode set on the watch, which is what it is being suggested on this thread.

There's a problem when you need to toggle it off manually on your watch and forget to reactivate it later, which could happen often, I'm afraid.

  • Nothing? This is a must have.

  • Please make this happen garmin! I would also like it to respect silent vs vibrate onAndroid 10.

  • My phone is set to automatically go on DND when I'm driving, but I continue to get notifications no my phone which feels like a safety issue. Can we please get this feature? I don't want to have to remember to turn on DND on my watch everytime I drive. Even though I ignore the notifications as I drive, the fact that I have to consciously ignore them instead of having Garmin ignore them for me is crazy.

It seems like detecting that android is in DND is not that complicated https://stackoverflow.com/a/38594761 (yes, I understand that a code snippet doesn't mean it can be immediately implemented)

  • Other companies have this feature. It’s so strange that Garmin does not have this option.

  • It's a bug. Please fix this Garmin.

  • Indeed, just got woke up by my Epic from a nap despite turning on DND on my iPhone... Still a huge update needed here to match Apple Watch capability... thanks Garmin Team to consider this!

  • This feature is sorely missing from the watch. I can understand that some people like the fact that the watch is independent of the phone, but I say that it should be up to the user to decide.
For example, I can set DND on the phone in a much more sophisticated way (in a way that I will never be able to on the watch). That's why it would be good for me if the watch could simply take over the DND settings.

  • Would be awesome to have that feature. I just switched from iOS, where Garmin Connect seems to respect DND and other focus modes. It's super disapponting that on Android it doesn't work the same way.
