So I bought a Fenix 5 Plus just under a week ago. I love the watch, but I'm having an annoying problem with it. 3 times so far, I've had to re-pair the device to the Garmin Connect app. I first noticed this problem when I was no longer receiving notifications on my watch, despite my phone sounding on an incoming text. When I open the app, there is no device listed at the top right - so I have had to add it again.
It seems to have happened a lot in such a short time of ownership - it sounds like a small problem, but for the cost of this watch, I shouldn't have to be re-pairing. My old Fitbit which I upgraded from didn't need pairing more than once in 2 years of ownership.
Has anybody else experienced this problem? Garmin support advised that I do a software reset, which I'm quite reluctant to do as I have configured the watch to my requirements. I really don't want to return this watch but don't want to keep encountering this problem.
