Please make it stop! It seems that the latest version of the Connect app (4.12.3) for Android (9.4.4) won't stop popping up with a notification about how to troubleshoot bluetooth connection issues. I can dismiss it but then a few minutes later it comes back, popping up over whatever it is I'm trying to do on my phone. I have attached two screenshots of the offending message and the resulting screen when I click on the notification.
I have uninstalled the Garmin connect app and reinstalled it, having to manually add my account information and my Edge 1030 back in the Connect app. I then went into my Bluetooth settings on my phone and told it to 'forget' the Edge 1030. I rebooted. I successfully repaired the Edge 1030 with my phone. The pop-ups still come up.
Per the utterly useless support responses I received via email, I have gone through the steps to manually remove the device from my Garmin connect app, forced stopped the app, cleared the cache and the storage, after being told that I did it wrong the first time.
Guess what? I'm still getting the pop-up over the top of anything I'm trying to do on my phone. It comes up every couple of minutes. It doesn't matter if I leave the notification untouched, it will come up on my phone again in a few minutes.
It's getting to the point that I'm ready to uninstall the Connect app completely and forgo the ability to sync via Bluetooth entirely. I'm really hoping someone here can pass this information along to the development team as this is very clearly a bug in the software. I would be really shocked if I ended up being the only person to experience this issue.
