AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED message

Since today ::::: I cant view my friends activity pages...their activities.....so I can't like or comment.
"Stats" and "about" are still ok.
People are liking my activities but I can't see theirs in GCM Android.
Im running the latest version of GCM, but I think its a back end update from Garmin today that caused a bug?
Anyone else?

  • Also my challenges fail to load intermittently.....
    message:
" Unable to view content pull to refresh" and " An error has occurred " down below in the usual place.
  • I've been getting the message days ago and just hoped that it's a server issue and got fixed soon but...Comon' Garmin....
  • Resetting Data on Android does not fix the issue by the way.
  • I've been messaging garmin via there face book page about this , and now have been emailed , asking for fault log info, versions , phone type etc, all been sent.
there are also asking for permission to log into my garmin connect at their end, reluctant to allow this, not sure why they need to being as it appears to be such a wide spread issue.
I know of 4 accounts affected , both android and iOS.
  • Garmin's normal modus operandi is to claim that there is no bug, just user error, and then to secretly fix it while saying nothing about it, and roll it out with another update which will be ostensibly for something else.

Has anyone been able to resolve this? I have submitted data logs, screen shots, etc. about a week ago. So far, I have heard nothing...

So i had the same issue pop up and contacted support. I got a reply from them today that this is an issue that they are monitoring (and i guess its a server side issue). A new update to GCM should resolve it but there is no exact date/time when it will be fixed.

They keep asking the same things from the owners they can check their app from their phone and see the problem and give a solution to the problem, I hope this happens soon
  • I sent an email to Garmin Support today about this and their response was:

This is an issue that we are investigating. Both iOS and Android users wanting to see activities performed by their Connections can do so in the "News Feed" section of Garmin Connect Mobile. We do not have an exact time for when the fix will be implemented.

Both my husband and I (Android) can see our Connections Activities by using the News Feed section.
  • News feed dosen't work either for me.....just the same....message..." an error has occurred "
