Garmin weather widget and location

(cross posted from the FR935 forum)

My FR935 gets its non-activity information from GCM, obviously. So why does it get weather information for the last location of the watch instead of the current phone location?

I noticed this after doing a hike at altitude, then the next morning wondering how hot it was outside. It gave the temperature of the park I had been in, ten miles away, four thousand feet higher, and fifteen degrees cooler.

Is it possible to get the weather information for the phone's current location, and possibly indicate what city it is for? Or should I just look into alternate weather widgets?
