Hi, I am trying to pair my vivoactive 3 music with an LG G6 phone. I receive notifications from text messages on the watch with no problem. I am able to hit reply and select from the list of pre-written text messages. If I choose one, the watch says sent with a green check mark. No one ever receives the text messages I send from the watch. My carrier is Verizon and the text messages don't show up in my list of outgoing messages from them either. I have SMS enabled for the Garmin Connect app on my phone. I called Garmin for help and they had no ideas either. Is there some crazy setting on the LG G6 that I'm missing?? Thanks!
Sorry, nothing else than that. Perhaps there are some phone specific security options blocking the use of SMS by applications. Try going through the Android settings, and look if you can find something that could be the culprit. Or perhaps there is some Xiaomi-specific safety application (like an anti-malware software) installed on your phone that blocks the SMS. Try asking on Xiaomi forums if it is not a known problem.
I have the same problem with replying to incoming notifications. I tried using a different smartphone or resetting it, reconnecting the fenix 5 and nothing worked. It used to work about 3 months ago and I haven't changed any phone or watch settings. Did anyone find a solution for the problem?
I see that you wrote in the Android forum so I guess you got an Android phone, but just to make sure: Are you using an Android phone? iPhone do not support answering text messages from the watch.
Yeah, definitely an android phone. But to be fair I’m using Facebook messenger 90% of the time and that’s the messages that don’t go through. Are they not compatible?
