Hi
I'm using:
- Mobile Connect App (Android): v4.9.4 (Fresh install this evening to sort out issues with Livetrack not starting at all).
- Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with latest OS firmware.
- Garmin Edge 520 with latest firmware installed.
- Strava Premium / Summit account with Beacon enabled, and Beacon integration with Garmin Connect enabled so that I can send SMS notifications.
As mentioned above, I had to uninstall and re-install Garmin Connect on the phone this evening to resolve the "LiveTrack will not start at all" issue, and that did resolve that issue, completely.
So now LiveTrack will start manually, and automatically when the Edge 520 tells it to, every time.
But now I have a new issue.
I stop my activity on the Edge 520 and discard it, and the Edge acknowledges that the activity is no longer active AND that LiveTrack has stopped.
But then when I go to my phone, the LiveTrack eye icon is showing in my notifications area top left, and if I click on that, I get the screen shown in the attached image.
I've left it for almost half an hour and it's still active, despite the fact that my Edge 520 has been off for over 20 minutes.
If I tap the red <Stop LiveTrack> button manually, it does stop the Livetrack session immediately as expected.
I don't think the Edge is sending tracking data to the phone anymore even though the phone is keeping the LiveTrack session open on that side, but still, this shouldn't be happening, the LiveTrack session should auto-stop when the activity on the Edge 520 that caused it to auto-start is completed and the Edge 520 reports that LiveTrack has ended.
SUMMARY:
When LiveTrack is auto-started by the Edge 520, it does not auto-stop when the activity on the Edge 520 ends and the Edge 520 reports that LiveTrack has ended.
