New badges

I noticed that the new badges have different amounts of climbing for cycling...why not running?
  • Huh? What are the Milestone, 5K Run, 10K Run badges, then?

  • But not elevation gain, which is what the OP is 'missing'. Probably an assumption (perhaps misguided) on Garmin's part that most runners don't gain large amounts of elevation when running.

OP, if you feel it's an issue, suggest it be added by contacting Garmin directly.
  • Philip, thanks for clarifying.
  • Seems that most activities that are recognized by badge system are for warm climates. Where are badges to recognize winter sport efforts like SKIING, SNOWBOARDING, WINTER HIKING (completely different then just regular summer hike), skating etc. For example for skiing make it the amount of downhill distance count towards appropriate badges or count vertical drop per day or the amount of consecutive days skiing....I could go on and on so if Garmin needs more ideas then reach out to their users.
