No Syncing Between VA3 and Phone after Phone Reboot

After the last GCM (4.4.2), If I reboot my phone, my VA3 will not sync with my phone even though it says it is connected. However notifications and the weather widgets say that it's not connected. I see that the live HRM is working and the step counts seem to be updating. The only way I have found that I can fix this is to disconnect the VA3 and go through the connection process...AGAIN...

Okaaaaaay?!?!? Lets add That I cannot connect to my laptop via Garmin Express without having to disconnect then reconnect the VA3 from my phone... Yikes this rev of GCM is no good!
