Unable to transfer to Forerunner 630

Hello,

I cannot transfer workouts or apps to my FR630. On the mobile app (android) the sync is able to retrieve steps, sleep and activities fine but then the sync fails and no items can be transferred to the device. I have tried Garmin Express which lists 11 things that need syncing with the device (including old uninstalled apps) but when attempting to sync the progress bar goes straight to 100% and it then tells me there are 11 items to sync.

I have tried with an old FR620 to see if this is a watch specific issue and have the same problems there trying to transfer the workout to the device.

I have re-paired, uninstalled and reinstalled, reset the device to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Ok. I got the workout file to load. I had originally created the workout file on my ios device. I deleted that activity from my calendar, from Garmin connect, and removed it from my "sync" cue using the web Garmin connect. Then I recreated the workout file in Web Garmin Connect and it loaded correctly on my watch. Note: I used OS X Garmin Express to sync successfully - and before I started rebuilding the workout in Web Garmin Connect OS X Garmin Express updated to 6.2.0. Any one of those things (building the app using the Web, syncing with 6.2 on OS X) could have corrected the problem.
  • I did the same and it worked a treat!

Thanks a lot. Now I just have to get my watch set up the way I like it...
