Calories in watch vs calories in GCM

I think we have another problem.
After sync, the calories in the app are different from the register in watch.
Today in my long run I have 935 kcal in Fr 235 log, and after loading by bluetooth data the GCM (ver. 4.3) indicated 823 kcal, so I check the past activity and they are all different.
Definitely another bug, Jesus Christ Garmin, what a mess!!!.
Can you fix please?
  • Just used the 5x as a sat nav in the car,
    I burned 157callories, after GCM sync, activity in GCM reads 0 callories.
    This is not normal and signifies a change in the software.

    Tested hike activity and I have the normal results,
    calories were transferred to GCM.

  • Just conducted tests:::::::
    Connect mobile 4.3 means I can't edit activity without changing calories... Bug.

    Connect mobile 4.1.1::::::::::
    No problems at all.

    I've reverted back for the third time......

    Tomorrow in my little recovery run I will test load the data directly on the computer via USB cable,
    If the calories are the same as the watch there is definitely an app bug.
    I'll report later here.
    Sorry for my english ;)
  • Look forward to report:-)
    I phoned the Garmin technical department and reported this issue, I've sent them screenshots and info, under their instruction.
    All the best....

    Some news,
    I just uploaded my training data today via USB cable directly on the computer, no bluetooth connection and the calories are the same as the watch.
    There is definitely a problem in GCM.
    Let's wait for Garmin fix it.

    I watched the calories change right in front of my eyes. I did a plyometrics workout that burned 503 calories. Synced my phone and everything looked OK until I went to view the workout in detail. I watched the screen change from 503 to 403 calories. I would swear this happened to me the other day too, but I shrugged it of as my imagination. Now I know there's an issue.

    Yes TMK17, it's just like that ?????
  • There's been a problem since 4.2.2 and I was just literally coming to forum to post my own problems with it. Any kind of workout recorded will at first record the calories in the app properly only to change them to some random value. I thought at first it was halving the number, (as per the first time I noticed it), but every subsequent activity would push out just nonsense numbers. What I noticed though was after I think one pushed hotfix to 4.2.2 the calorie change would only happen IF the user renamed the activity in the app (ex: Cardio tracked exercised renamed to some routine of program). While you're in the edit activity window in the app and scroll down after "Event Type" you'll find "Show more data." There you'll find "Calories" and "Max Heart Rate." If I would checked that BEFORE changing the name of the activity, the calories would be fine...but if I changed the activities name it would randomly change the calories.

    This is still happening but the difference seems to be whatever that number is, isn't affecting your totals and is also not carrying over to the summary screen like it was on 4.2.2. Even if I manually fix the calories to what it should be, it doesn't stick and reverts to whatever old number it wants, just now it's a visual error and not one changing your daily totals. Seriously, I did an upper body weight training routine yesterday that burned 564 calories and in the app (under edit activity) it said I burned 301, to which I changed to the 564, only to check just now and find it still saying 301 calories....yet on the activity summary page it says 564.

    Chalk it up to yet another thing Garmin breaks when fixing something. They plug one proverbial hole and open up another one somewhere else.
  • Sleep data is now the same, just random numbers after edit...or worse...
    We can no longer rely on any data being correct it would seem...
  • I've sent various screenshots off to Garmin about all the data changes I could find...
    Sleep data today is 7.5 hrs, If i press that tab I get 8.4 hours for the same day.
    Edit any activity and calories will be randomly generated....
    GCM is now usless it would seem for metrics..
