Forerunner 630 no longer automatically sync's

I am using a FR630, with an Sony Xperia X, and the watch no longer auto-sync's with my phone when opening the Garmin Connect app. If I open the app, it shows that the watch is connected, has the green dot, but just doesn't sync. Even if I press the sync/refresh button on the top right, it will not sync.

The only way I am able to trigger the sync'ing, is by removing the device and re-pairing.

Any Idea's?

Garmin Connect version 4.2.2
GR630 version 7.5

  • I'm also having trouble syncing since they updated to version 4.2 If you want some advice, it's better to uninstall the current version and find a version prior to 4.2 on the web, such as 4.1.11. It will work again as before.
