Forerunner 630 no longer automatically sync's

I am using a FR630, with an Sony Xperia X, and the watch no longer auto-sync's with my phone when opening the Garmin Connect app. If I open the app, it shows that the watch is connected, has the green dot, but just doesn't sync. Even if I press the sync/refresh button on the top right, it will not sync.

The only way I am able to trigger the sync'ing, is by removing the device and re-pairing.

Any Idea's?

Garmin Connect version 4.2.2
GR630 version 7.5

I'm also having trouble syncing since they updated to version 4.2 If you want some advice, it's better to uninstall the current version and find a version prior to 4.2 on the web, such as 4.1.11. It will work again as before.
