Version 4.2.1 sticky notifications

Today's update fixes the notifications and the alerts upon receiving a notification. Thanks for fixing that, Garmin team!
'Sticky' notifications are gone though. I happened to use those a lot. Some of that functionality (sending notes on the watch) can be taken over by the calendar app, but that needs to sync before a calendar item is sent to the watch, which requires internet, and that is not always available. Perhaps sticky notifications can be re-enabled? That would be great!
  • Twinaxx, what does 'sitcky' notifications are ?
I'm french and don't understand to what it refers :o
  • It's a notification that is displayed continuously in the notification bar, from apps that are running in the background, for example from a time tracker app that has the status notification "working on account X" on all the time I've set it to log time for that account. It is super convenient to check such status things on a watch.

Updated to 4.2.1 from 4.1.9 and now notification aren't working again... This is getting old. The notification worked fine till they started messing with them.
  • Yep, it is still not stable.
I tried delete the cache and delete the app then install the new 4.2.1. I got notifications ... Let see tomorrow is all is fine again

Remove 4.2.1, rebooted phone and watch, reinstalled 4.2.1 - re-setup watch. Still no notifications...
  • Did you pair phone with watch outside Garmin Connect ?

I guess I should correct that, text message notifications still work... no email notifications, no app notifications. Yes, they are turned on on smart notifications. Going back to previous version.

No I let the app do it, unpaired my watch and went thru the garmin setup.
  • I think they solve the problem of no sync, but they don't solve all 4.2 release bad issues

Still not stable. Gmail notices work. Verizon Messages+ does not. Outlook does not.
I've uninstalled GCM 4.2.1, rebooted, reinstalled. (On Droid 8.0 Oreo, so no cahce clearing)
Removed all instances of my F3 in Bluetooth on the phone, rebooted.
    Rebooted F3.
Reconnected F3 via app and no notices from Messages+
Repeated ALL the steps above and let phone reconnect F3 first, then through app.
Rebooted F3 and still no notices for Message+
Through every iteration of testing, I was able to sync the F3 from either the GCM app or from the F3 itself. Those sync attempts all worked fine.

I'd say there are still issues.
