Latest update huge sync issues!!!

I've not been able to sync via the mobile app since (I think) Sunday - which is maybe when it was updated?

It will download activities you add via another method (e.g. syncing using the Garmin Express Windows application, or adding them manually via the Garmin Connect website) - but it won't "send" stats (activities, steps...) that it's gathered from the watch via Bluetooth.

Exactly the same thing happened to my wife (also using the Android app), and to fix it I had to go in to Android settings, and wipe the cache and data for the Garmin app. We then went in and ran through the process to re-enrol the user and device (Vivoactive) - and it fixed the problem.

I've just done this on my phone, and its worked - I can now sync again. However, in the process its lost my step count for the last 3 days - so thanks for that Garmin.

Yes, the update version 4.2 came out about 5-6 days ago. I wiped the app, reinstalled several times, but this sync problem comes back again and again. I even cannot edit Watch settings from the Android app. My fix was to go back to the previous stable version: 4.1.11.
I disabled auto update for Garmin Connect too. I will risk update, when Garmin is out with a next release, version 4.2 is just full of bugs.
Garmin uses us as beta testers, very cheap i guess? :D

Same problem. No resolution - also seems to deplete my watch (vivoactive) battery much, much quicker than before (no difference in usage, watch has depleted in about half the time I would normally need to charge it in)

Same problem. Can't login after the last update. I have solved it installing the 4.1.9 version. Didn't found the 4.1.11 :-(

Is there an easy way to install 4.1.9? Thanks.

My forerunner 25 now no longer receives any notifications. I charged it over night on Sunday and it was not counting steps on Monday. So I turned off the watch and back on and all ok. However today it isn’t receiving notifications.
turned watch off and on. Turned my LG5 off and on. Turned Bluetooth off and on. Unpaired the watch then paired it. Removed device from phone. But still nothing.
have set in settings to all notifications on. But nothing

Speaking on the phone today to Garmin they want me to uninstall app and renew. Done that.

Want me to hard reset watch. Reluctant as will lose all my data.

Try with another phone/watch. Reluctant as dont think it's not that at fault but the app.

They always ask you to perform a master reset, its standard procedure.
But its probably the latest update in GCM (4.2) that's caused you all the problems your now having,and not your watch.
I didn't receive any notifications either,also no sound for reconnect Bluetooth etc etc...
Reverted to an older version, and everything is back to normal.
We just have to wait for Garmin to patch the massive hole in GCM 4.2.

Without doing nothing i have some notifications back. Now getting FB, Twitter and BBC news alerts

I'm in the same boat on this. Thanks for the link to the previous version. I've been missing calls/messages etc that aren't getting sent to my phone (LG G5 running 7.0). Sometimes if I turn the watch (VA3) off and on again it seems to fix it briefly but it can't be relied upon currently.

Looking forward to the next update ASAP please Devs! Generally been very reliable on my phone until now.
