Calorie change after recent update

Is anyone else having an issue where the calorie info changes for a workout when you edit in the Connect mobile app (Android)? I've had it set to 0 and more than double.
  • I can't answer your specific question since I don't understand what you are asking. But I can tell you that Garmin is certainly messing around with calories right now. I have seen two changes to active calories in Garmin Connect during the past few days:
    • Calories from Daily Steps are not shown in Daily Summary ==> Activities anymore. (Only Garmin Connect web - the mobile app doesn't have this view.)
    • Active calories in Garmin Connect is much higher than in the Calories widget in the watch. This happened for the first time yesterday. Until then they had been completely identical. The wrong, high calorie count is shown in both Garmin Connect mobile (IOS) and web.

I've the same issue since the last update. When I edit the activity in the Connect mobile app, it change the calories burned, the only solution I found is change the calorie number from app while editing and put the right number.

    me too...
  • That's how I'm working around the issue as well (noting the calories prior to editing and fixing the error). It seems to change whenever another field is edited, so I've had to correct it multiple times (found that out when I was trying to figure out what it was doing).

It looks like this newest update has come with a lot of issues, so hopefully they'll roll out a fix soon.
  • Just chiming in to say I've been dealing with this issue also. I edit the name of most of my activities to make them more specific, and as soon as that "edit" button is pressed, the calorie count changes to some arbitrary number.
