False "Software Update Available" notifications

Every few days my Android phone notifies me that I have a software update available for my forerunner 920xt. However, I have been running the latest firmware, 9.40, since it was released in September. These notifications are annoying. Is there anything that can be done to stop them?

I've had the same thing as long as I can remember (edge 520 though). I always run the latest android app and latest firmware. Was easy to ignore until now, where after the latest update of the connect app v4.2 it refuses to upload my rides.

In the 'my day' view on the app, the sync icon spins constantly. In 'devices' view is stuck on 50% of 'sending software updates'.

The android play store reviews have numerous reports of v4.2 breaking the device syncing.

Garmin, please fix this now !!!

Same problem here with my Forerunner 220, ever since I got it about three years ago.

We do have the same 920XT problem! That is with three units. This is not good for Garmin reputation. The 3 520's does not have any problems......yet!

I have had this issue since I bought my Forerunner 25 in 2016. Please fix.

Same problem here on a 520. The 520 is on the latest version I can find (13.00), and connect on android keeps telling me to upgrade.

What's odd is that the 520 is a crash replacement. The previous 520 didn't trigger those notices. That could be coincidence.

Connect on the web says my device is up to date. Connect on Android says no, it isn't.

Now it’s happening on my Dashcam57. Chat with Garmin kept sending me to the page with instructions on how to update vie Drive. Dumb chatbot.
