Please check the following. After sync a run if the gear is not the default and the activity is opened on the app and latter the gear is updated on the web version, the gear change will not be reflected in the activity opened on the app. The only way I can do that is sync on the app but not opening the activity. Then open the activity on the web and update the gear accordingly. Then I can open the activity on the app and the gear will be the correct one.
  • That's because the Garmin Connect Mobile app for Android is looking at a cached copy of the activity, without providing a means to the user to force clearing of the cache and refresh the activity data directly from the Garmin Connect server. If you Clear Data for the GCM app in Android's operating system (Application Manager) settings, it will obtain the correct, most up-to-date data for an activity – including gear used – when you next open it in the app. (Unfortunately that will also cause you to lose your sign-in and paired device information from the app.) Otherwise, you'll have to wait until the app decides for itself that it's time to refresh the activity data instead of relying on the cached copy.
