Connect music controls keeps complaining

Since about a week ago,Garmin connect has been complaining constantly about Android stopping a music service. I don't use the music controls on my watch so I don't mind, but turning it on, off and or restarting my phone does not stop the phone/connect app from complaining and notification/vibration every 20 or so minutes.

Anyone know what's up with this?

same issue for me with fenix 5X and huawei p8 lite 2017

Same issue here. Was happening constantly on my Pixel XL, got a new Pixel 2 XL and the error didn't happen for a few months and now I can't get it to go away.

We are aware of the music service notification continuing to pop up. We are working on a fix that will stop this from occurring. Thank you for the discussion.

This happens constantly to me too on a Pixel running Android 8.0.

Also smart notifications used to work but are now completely non functional - Garmin Connect complains about not having permissions to notifications even though it does.
