Today I received a new phone, Google Pixel 2. I cannot get my VA3 to connect to Garmin Connect. It will pair with the phone but not the app. Any assistance is appreciated
What exactly is happening? Because since last week I cannot re-pair my son's Vivofit Jr. It stopped syncing last week and as part of troubleshooting I unpaired the phone. For me, I can on eithe my Pixel or my wife's iPhone 8, go through the pairing process, I get the 4 digit number, then the 6 digit number (on android) which tells me the phone is intereacting with the VFjr but then it fails with a network error.
Maybe not related to your problem, but if it's similar be aware that Garmin knows about my issue and is working on it.
Hi all, I have had the same issue with my new Pixel 2 connecting with my Forerunner 235, Ive just spoken to Garmin who have advised me that because my 'new' phone isn't on their 'compatibility' list they cannot guarantee it will work without issues ! Even though the phone is exceeding the parameters of the previous 'old' models that are on their compatibility list ! Very poor from Garmin in my eyes ! Not a happy chappy, will be looking into non-Garmin alternatives I think
I have a similar issue with the vivoactive HR. My pixel 2 and VAHR pair just fine, but typically sometime overnight, the pairing will be lost and I have to reboot my pixel to get the 2 devices talking to each other again. I have tried to reboot the VAHR, tried to put it into pairing mode, all with the garmin connect app open, but still no sync. I have turned bluetooth off/on on the pixel, still nothing. The only resolution I have found is to completely reboot my phone, then they pair up automatically like there is no issue. Very annoying as I do not want to have to reboot my phone daily just to get my info to sync.
