Access Required Notification

I'm constantly getting this notification:
"Android stopped the advanced music service unexpected and never restarted it." I tried to re enable permissions, reboot and reinstall Connect app. I'm still getting this notification every 10 minutes.
I never use the the app or the fenix watch to control music so I'm not sure why the app needs this permission.
Android 8.0
Connect Mobile 4.1.7

    I would just like to know how to turn off these D*** notifications! I get them continually 24x7. I'm about to uninstall the app on my main phone and install it on a phone I don't use JUST as a sync device. I REALLY need to know how to turn this notification off.

    I actually do use the music service and I'm getting this notification. Seems like the service is really flakey - could use some stability improvements (please)!

    I'm on Android 8.0.0 using a Pixel.

    On my Android I did swipe down to see the notifications. I selected BLOCK NOTIFICATION for each one I don't want. I don't want any so i don't know how selective it is. My Android stopped buzzing constantly and I'm happy about it.

    I'm seeing this as well. Seems to have only started happening over the last month or so.

    Google Pixel running Android 8.0 with the November 5, 2017 security patch.
  • Same here... You'd think Garmin could get one of THE major features of their "smart" watches working.
  • Same on my Honor 7 with FR 935. I've switched from FR 920XT to FR 935 recently and now I get the notifications very often :-( I hope Garmin will fix this soon as this is very very annoying.
  • I am still having this problem. Started when my Huawei P10 got the Android 8.0.0 update. Whose problem is this? Garmin connect app or Google Android Oreo?
  • Perhaps there's a corrupted music file on the device that causes the Advanced Music Service to crash when it scans it. In the old days the Android photo service would frequently crash when there was a corrupted photo or video file on the device. I can imagine an analogous issue with audio files.
