Hello. Since the release of the last update of Garmin connect mobile, I can't pair my vivosmart3 anymore with my honor 8! Never had trouble before. The bluetooth codes are just generating themselves way too quickly. Guess I'm not the only one.
Same for me. I tried everything: restart phone and Fenix; reset Fenix; reinstalled the app. Now all my settings are gone but I have no connection. Fenix 3, honor 6x
I just solved my problem by buying Honor 8 with Android 6 (had to downgrade but didn't have enough patience with Garmin support). My next sports watch is definitely not going to be Garmin. based on this experience. I will kept the ones I have as they were quite pricey and the new phone is bargain (I will sell the p10 lite and difference is like $80).
Edit: I was too upset when writing this, as the problem is really mostly with the phone.
I have the same problem, i had to keep turning bt off and on again on the phone, and eventually it let it connect, but my problem now is that (and actually was before this as well) if I open GC on my phone, such as updating my weight, the phone loses the connection. It did this with my original VA as well, and looking at the samsung thread, it seems like garmin somehow uses 1.4 for bt, and if it used 1.5 it would be ok, but I don't have that developer option on my honor 6x.
(It will pair just fine to the phone, just the app is a problem.) Usually, I just need to turn bt back on, or off and on, and not open GC, and the watch will reconnect and sync on it's own. Sometimes, I just need to do the same to the bt on the watch, though synching and charging also seem to help.
Like I said though, I expect that this problem is directly linked to the samsung problem, so they are probably working on it.
