GC synchronisation

I launch GC mobile once in the morning so that phone and watch are connected properly. But every time I open GC (which normally runs in the background), a new sync between watch and phone starts. It is possible to avoid this systematic synchronisation?
  • Switch off Bluetooth on one of the devices.

It makes sense for Garmin Connect Mobile to attempt to sync whenever the user brings it into the foreground (i.e. is going to pay attention to it imminently) and update the step count, etc. if the wearable device is connected.
  • I understand your point ASmugDill. Nevertheless I would have thought that we could have a choice between automatic or manual sync. You may need to bring GC to the foreground to look at previous data for example without needing any annoying sync. And if I switch off BT I will no longer receive any notifications.
    Anyway, nothing very important....
  • You could always try looking up previous data in Garmin Connect online (i.e. in your browser) on your mobile device instead; that shouldn't trigger any syncing.
